- Answer Yes, this Garmin does do verbal directions along with screen visuals. I liked using this one, it was simple. Yes, it does give ample time to maneuver and does repeat directions. Pretty much a play by play.

QuestionDoes this model over heat and does how long is the battery life?

- Answer The battery life on this GPS is up to 1 hour from a full charge. Using the provide vehicle power cable will allow the device run continuously when connected to external power. Garmin navigation devices are designed for the automotive environment and are certified to meet the required international product safety and battery safety standards. It is normal and expected for the products to become warm or hot and remain safe for use in warm climates with full sun exposure. The temperature of the device itself can exceed the specified maximum operating ambient temperature for the device and remain safe for use. Always follow the device use and care instructions contained in the product manual.

- Answer Yes, While the GPS is ready to use out of the box, we would suggest using the Garmin Express program to check for any map and software updates that may have been made available while the device was in transit and on the retailer’s shelf. If you haven't installed Garmin Express please download it from the following link: www.garmin.com/express
