• Not recommended. This model is designed to be used in an enclosed vehicle. You may want to look at the Garmin zumo, it’s designed specifically for exposure to the elements.

• What would you be using the USB cable for? Power to the unit? You would have to ask that question to a Garmin factory employee or spokesperson.
