Q: QuestionCan this unit be permanantly mounted in custom dash and hard wired. Would like to build a custom console and moint this in my truck.

• A:Answer Yes, you can modify to dash. I am thinking about doing that to my truck. I have it hard wired ( which I recommend doing )

• A:Answer Yes, City Navigator® Europe maps can be purchased and added to this device. There are two options for adding these maps to this device: Purchase a pre-programmed microSD™/SD™ Card or Purchase downloadable maps to be installed with the Garmin Express program. If you choose to download the maps, a micro SD card will be needed. The size of card needed for additional mapping is from 8GB SD up to a 32GB card. • A:Answer The Bluetooth connection to a smartphone is needed only to receive traffic alerts and for hands free phone calls. The navigation feature works without the Bluetooth connection. Thanks, James

Connect the device to a power source with a USB cable, vehicle power cable, or an AC adapter. Press and hold the power button/power switch in the on position for 8-10 seconds.
