Garmin can’t guarantee compatibility of 3rd party maps. If you are having problems with non-Garmin maps please contact the map manufacturer for troubleshooting. We can only offer direction in confirming that the device has the proper settings to view the map data. To confirm the device settings are correct and it is compatible, review the following: Ensure you are on the latest or compatible version of the non-Garmin map with the map manufacturer. Ensure the Garmin GPS has the most current software installed with Garmin Express Check the map settings on the device. The owner's manual1 provides directions for your specific model. Ensure the non-Garmin map is enabled or turned on, you may have to disable some Garmin maps for the 3rd party map to show on the map page of the handheld You generally should not have to disable the basemap of the Garmin If the map is loaded to a microSD card ensure it is properly seated and locked into place.
