A:Answer I guess it depends on what you want out of it. For cadence, I believe you do have to buy another item. I have used it on bike rides, and it tracks speed, distance, and will save your route when used with the Garmin Connect app. You can set lap markers for distance or time as well. On the app, it will tell you average speed, average temperature, and will also lay out all the info in a chart.
It also has an Indoor Biking event pre-loaded. I haven't used it though.
