No, you cannot answer phone calls or texts. The display merely displays it to view.

The Forerunner 630 will give you notificiations of a phone call, and depending on phone settings, the call can be acknowledged using the watch. The phone call will then be completed using the mobile phone. The Forerunner 630 does not offer options to respond to text messages.
