live in houston. have had dashcam on my vehicles for so many years. never had an issue although have never been pulled over. dash cam mini is very discreet though. will hardly notice it. one of my car has like an imitation gopro that one can clearly see from the outside, but never had an issue with it

Texas doesn't allow dashcam recording with audio unless your passengers are aware of being recorded, but you can easily disable the audio recording with the button on the camera. The only other restriction in Texas that I know of is that it can't obstruct your view, and this dashcam is barely bigger than my thumb, and easily tucked behind your rearview mirror where you won't even notice it.
