A:Answer No, it doesn’t have a battery. It needs to remain plugged in using the power cable provided, and it turns off and on with your vehicle. It does come with a really long cable meant to be tucked into the seams of your vehicle. I was able to do it myself, no need for a pro install. I routed the cable up and into the seam of my windshield, around to the right A pillar and into that seam, down and around underneath my glove box, and into the power outlet using the USB adapter it comes with. I unplug it and hide the camera when I leave the vehicle...you just never know with people. My setup actually has this camera in the back, and the Garmin Tandem in front. Hope this helps!
