A:AnswerIf you want to get both US and Canada, we suggest the nüvi 58LM. The nüvi 57LM has the lower 49 states only and will only update that region. A:AnswerYes, the device displays your speed and speed limit. Please keep in mind the device has several updates a year via Garmin Express (www.garmin.com/express). Following the road signs is important as they often get changed and the GPS might not have the current data. Best regards. ~QKO
