“How big is the internal memory? On my old nuvi, the software and current 1.6 Gb North America map does not fit on the internal memory of 2 Gb. Using a microSD card works fine for the map, but I wonder if that will be immediately necessary for the new 2789LMT.”

The amount of internal memory varies on the automotive devices based on what iteration it was made in. We recommend using the micro SD cards when needed. ~JH
