- Answer No, the 57LM does not have traffic updates. The quickest way to identify automotive products that include traffic alerts is by an LT (Lifetime Traffic) or LMT (Lifetime Maps & Traffic) in the model name. -JPK

- Answer The nüvi 57LM is made from a TFT LCD (Thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display). It does not have a glass pinch to zoom option like other devices do. ~JH

- Answer A device may not have the latest version of mapping loaded to it out of the box, however, you can connect the device to a computer and use the Garmin Express program to load the latest mapping as soon as you purchase it. - Answer Yes, the nüvi 2589 and the nüvi 2699 have maps for all of North America which includes Canada, United States, and Mexico. The nüvi 57LM only has the lower 49 states. ~JH

- Answer Yes this could be used on a bicycle. It is battery powered (last over 2 hours) It can also be plugged into power supply in car or portable battery pack with usb plug or regular power just like a phone.
