Like other wrist-worn fitness bands, the vívosmart will not track steps while worn if your arms are not moving. HOWEVER, what I have done in similar situations is to slip the vívo into my pocket. This allows it to register my leg movement and tally those steps. Other users have strapped the band to their ankle, though the ability to do this would depend on your ankle size, of course. -JPK
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too have to hold on the treadmill and it does NOT record steps taken. I just got my vivo this week and am disappointed by this. It actually records more movement while drying my hair in morning than a hard workout.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It tracks the same way as the jawbone up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this product on a treadmill daily and when I watch Leslie Sanson's Walk at home videos on youtube. It works well and records steps. I don't have much luck when I am pushing a shopping cart or using a stationary bike though. I don't believe you will be able to record steps if you hold onto the treadmill.
