The Heart Rate Monitor is not capable of connecting to your iPhone 5, because they use a different technology. However, it sounds like your activities which are done with your vivosmart connected to the Heart Rate Monitor are not synchronizing properly to Garmin Connect Mobile. When you create an activity your HRM sends the data to your vivosmart and then your vivosmart communicates with your phone to send the data to the app. We recommend contacting Product Support, one of our agents can walk you through the process and identify where things are going wrong.
