• When connected to your phone by Bluetooth, yes, you will get any notifications you request, including text and email. Fair warning, though, staying connected drains the battery quickly and you won't know about dead battery until you look down and device is off.

• Yes, the vívosmart HR+ can receive text messages and other notifications which can be read directly on the watch. ^DK
