The device can be cleaned with a mild soap and water or an alcohol swab. Please be sure the soap is rinsed off and the band and wrist are dry before wearing. Debbie with Garmin

The watch band is made of a soft plastic material so it should clean easily with soap and cloth. I did purchase and apply a clear screen saver on the face of the watch to protect from scuffs etc.
