A:AnswerWe just ran into this problem on our install. There is nowhere to specify which kind of appliance you currently have, and so they assume a 1 to 1 swap. The installer came and did not have a plumbing license, so they could not cap the gas line. We have to call a plumber to cap the gas line the day before and then have best buy's installer come back to hook up the electric induction stove after the line has been disconnected from the old unit and capped.
A:AnswerI'm not sure about the venting part for a gas cooktop, but I did have to have a plumber out to install a new gas feed line and they did cut a small hole in the interior wall to install the gas feed line. I had to have this done by a third party not by the installers. Hope that helps.
A:AnswerI would say yes unless you don’t have 240 V power supply available for the electric stove to be plugged in to. If 240 V is available, then yes, they can switch them easily.
A:AnswerWhen I purchased the install , it stated they are licensed professionals installing the unit. They had all the right tools , and check for leaks after the install .
A:AnswerThere will need to be a shut off valve behind your stove. Second you should have the gas turned on and inspected before install. Safety is important!
