A:AnswerHi Chloe- The microwave cavity is made of metal. Metal is the only material that will contain microwaves so all microwave walls are metal. It has a painted, white epoxy interior finish. Thanks for choosing GE! SUE@GEA

A:AnswerYou should be able to peel off starting at the corner. As for it hurting anything-I think it probably isn't real good to leave it on especially around the panel with the numbers and cook time. I remember thinking that wouldn't be real safe.
A:AnswerHi Lyn- Microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge air vents. We recommend 3" of clearance on both sides and the top and 1" clearance in the rear. See the following link- MICROWAVE AIR CLEARANCE - COUNTERTOP ONLY MODELS: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21668 - This model is intended for countertop use. A trim kit is not available. We also offer GE Profile™ Series 1.1 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven PEM31DFBB. It is compatible with GE® Optional 27" Built-In Trim Kit JX827DFBB and Optional 30" Built-In Trim Kit JX830DFBB (choose appropriate kit based on your cabinet width). We suggest to view the Quick Specs for cabinet dimensions: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=PEM31DF_r2.pdf - Thanks for choosing GE. We're glad to have you in the family! SUE@GEA
A:AnswerI looked at it and questioned it but decided to leave it intact as I think it’s part of the microwave. This might actually be a question better asked and answered by the manufacturer. Now I’m curious to know as well.
A:AnswerHi - Thanks for choosing GE! Press "Clock" and enter the time of day. Press "Clock" again to set the time. You should not have to set the clock each time the microwave is programmed. If not operating as designed, we suggest to reset the electronics by unplugging for 30 seconds or so. The replacement warranty is provided on page 15 of the Owner's Manual: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40735.pdf - Keep in touch! SUE@GEA
