“Does the 17 3/4 depth dimension include the amount the plug sticks out in the back or do I need to add additional room to accommodate the plug?”

The ge 1.6 is a true 17 3/4 deep. There is a hump on the left side back that is the deepest. The right side where the plug is is not as deep. We bought this oven and returned it because it stuck out an extra 1/2 inch than our old one. (Old one 17 1/4) We bought aNother a whirlpool I think that lied and said it was 17 1/4 but it was 17 3/4. So we returned it for another ge. Our last ge lasted 13 years. We are limited by the depth of our cabinet.
