Don't buy an LG for that pseudo 10-year warranty. It's purely a marketing gimmick. Our supposed 10-year magnetron went out at 6.5 months, while the full warranty was still in effect. We've been without our microwave for weeks. They drag their feet, promise and then fail to contact you, etc. until most people give up. And if you persist in the protracted process, in the end you must go out and buy another microwave yourself, and hope they reimburse you. Oh, and good luck trying to understand the people on the other end of the phone. As for the 10-year joke, there are all kinds of charges built in to that "warranty" to make it as expensive to repair as it is to buy a new microwave. LG customer service, despite all of their attentive and sympathetic-looking comments on negative reviews, STINKS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s a total scam. Only 1 year parts and labor. If you make a claim they will give you the local technicians phone number and you’re responsible for parts and labor. Avoid avoid.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Tim, We are finding that the warranty for this microwave lasts for one year from the date of original purchase. This warranty covers "any product which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship." If you would like more details on the warranty, you can see pg. 15 of your Owner's Manual. You can view that document here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40785.PDF - We hope that this helped! Thanks so much for your question. -Michael
