Is there a trim kit? null

Hi Cin- GE® 1.6 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven JES1657SMSS is intended for countertop use only. A trim kit is not available for this model. Select GE Appliance countertop microwaves are Built-In Ready. A matching trim kit is required to install the unit as a Built-In Microwave. If you can find an old Kitchen-Aid fit kit (circa 2013) it might work for your GE 1.6. We recently replaced our KA 1.6 with a GE 1.6 and the case on the oven was identical so the surround kit fit perfectly. Surround kits usually cost more than the oven. Go figure.

There is no trim kit for this specific model. However I was able to modify the trim kit that came with the earlier model GE microwave that I was replacing. I'm sure this is not a common situation, so selecting a model that includes a trim kit is the most reliable solution if you can find one that will actually fit in an existing cavity.
