I recently switched my 1.6 Kitchen-Aid for a 1.6 GE. The case on the ovens were exactly same size. It fit right into the surround built in kit. These ovens are made at the same factory sometimes. I would try a Kitchen-Aid model if you can't get another GE the same size. I think Kenmore, Frigidaire and others may be similiar.

So, if you bought a new microwave to replace the one you have now, you would also need to purchase the trim kits that is associated with that new microwave to allow it to be built into surrounding cabinetry. We hope that this helps to clear things up. Best wishes. -Michael@GEA
