Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the GE JVM3160RF5SS Model and JVM3160RFSS?
Asked by Elane.
- A:Answer Hello, that's a great question! We apologize for any confusion. The model is the same, but the extra 5 is an engineering code. For example, if you needed an extra part, searching for the model number that is on your microwave would allow you to see the part breakdown for your specific model. We hope this helps!- Kianna@GEA

Q: QuestionIs model GE microwave model number JVM7195SKSS 1.9 CF OTC gas stove rated?
Asked by GEmicrowaveJVM7195SKSS.
- A:Answer Hello- Thanks so much for your question. I will be happy to help! All current OTR (over-the-range microwaves), including convection, Advantium ovens, vent hoods, and telescopic downdraft vents can be installed over gas ranges and cooktops* with combined surface burner BTU rating of approximately 65,000 BTUs or less. As long as the 66" minimum clearance from the floor to the top of the microwave is followed there will be no performance or warranty issue. We hope this is helpful! If you have any additional questions, please let us know. We are always happy to help! Joyce@GEA

Q: QuestionI'm looking for a replacement for and old unit JVM1790SK can you recommend one that will fit in the existing mount over the range or if I purchase JNM3163rjss does it come with a wall mount - I plan to use their installers
Asked by Bob.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave with Electronic Touch Controls - Stainless Steel
- A:Answer Hi Bob - We are sorry to hear your GE Microwave Model # JVM1790SK needs replacing and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Model JNM3163rjss is a great choice. All GE 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. We certainly appreciate your loyalty. Q: Questionnoise levelWhat is the noise level for the venting fan?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer On low speed the vent fan has a fairly low noise level. It is much noisier when used on the high speed. I have found the low speed to be sufficient for removing steam, etc. when using the stove top.
