Hi dvdc - We certainly appreciate your loyalty. Model jvm1790sk01 is a convection microwave. Model jvm6175skss is a microwave only. We also offer GE Profile™ Series 1.7 Cu. Ft. Convection Over-the-Range Microwave Oven PVM9179SKSS. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently replaced that model (JVM1750) with a new JVM 6175 and all the mounting was identical. I only had to switch the fan position of the new unit. Took maybe 15 minutes for entire job. Mounting bolts were same as well. I didn’t even open the new package of fasteners.
