Q: QuestionI have a GE Spacesaver JMV 1750 which needs replacing. The new microwave needs to have delayed start or auto start and turntable on/off. Does GE make an over the range microwave with these features.

When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. Also, all 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. • A:Answer I replaced my 16 year old GE microwave with a current GE model. I removed the old one and left the mounting bracket in place. When the installers got to my home, I asked if the existing bracket would work. They compared it to the new bracket and they were slightly different but would work. They mounted the new unit on the old bracket with no problems. The install took less than 10 minutes.
