QuestionCan this upright freezer be laid down flat to transport?

- Answer We recommend transporting it in the upright position if possible. If transporting it in an upright position is not possible, lay it down on the compressor side of the unit. Be careful to secure the door to prevent it from opening. Set it upright in its final location and allow the freezer to sit for the same amount of time that it was on its side (24 hours maximum). Do not plug the unit into the electrical receptacle without allowing this settling time. The freezer can be damaged if it is plugged in too soon.

- Answer Yes, this will work in a GFCI outlet. The freezer should always be plugged into a properly grounded electrical outlet on an individual 15–20-amp circuit. Thanks for checking with us. Joyce@GEAppliances

QuestionWant to replace our GE Upright FUF 14DPARWH with similar model and size. However, we notice in specs that the heights are 62" and our current one measures 59" which gives us the required 3" clearance. Our opening is 62" leaving no clearance. Problem?

- Answer Hey there! Thanks for contacting us about this great Upright Freezer. We recommend that the freezer legs be set so the freezer firmly sits on the floor. You can view the instructions on this on page 12 of the installation guide. The vents are located on the back of the unit. We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
