“Just recently purchased ,went to get crushed and cubed ice but nothing came out. I Looked behind the door and saw the on off switch. My question is,Is all I have to do is hit that switch and just wait a few hours for it to make the ice or is there more?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Bostonfan978 - Yes, when the refrigerator has been connected to the water supply, set the ice maker power switch to the ON position. The icemaker will fill with water when it cools to 15F (–10°C). A newly installed refrigerator may take 12 to 24 hours to begin making ice cubes. See page 16 of the Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60805-1.PDF - Also, the dispenser and the icemaker will not operate without the filter or filter bypass plug.
