The icemaker will fill with water when it cools to 15F (–10°C). A newly installed refrigerator may take 12 to 24 hours to begin making ice cubes. See page 16 of the Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60805-1.PDF - Also, the dispenser and the icemaker will not operate without the filter or filter bypass plug.
