I would definitely *not* try to wash a comforter in this thing, but what's the worst thing that could happen? You'd have to drag it out, wet, wring it out and then take it to a commercial laundry to get finished. The drum is way too small. I wash my king set of linens all at once, and it's fine, but I don't think a comforter would be such a great idea.

Any size comforter will wash properly in our front load washers as long as the comforter fits behind the washer tub gasket and is not stuffed into the tub tightly. I hope this helps!
