  • QuestionI'd like to soak in Oxi for a fee hours before washing. I filled the drum w water and clothes and left lid open. I went back after an hour to start the machine, the drum was empty of water and clothes were sitting there. How can i soak for 1-2 hrs?

    Asked by Dcowner.

    • Answer Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us and for having purchased a GE Appliances unitized washer/dryer. We would recommend allowing the washer to fill normally after having added Oxi or other preferred soaking agent. Once it stops filling, leave the lid closed and press the Start/Pause button one time. After you have finished soaking the load, press the Start/Pause button again to allow the cycle to resume. If you leave the washer in a paused mode for longer than 24 hours, it will automatically drain. If you attempt to soak the load with the lid open, the washer will drain completely after 15 mins. For more information, see page 8 of your owner's manual -- https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-90581-5.PDF -- We hope this is helpful. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA

  • QuestionHow do I remove the agitator?

    Asked by Ken.

    • Answer Hello- Thanks so much for checking with us. We are sorry if you are having an issue with your washer. Our current models will require a technician to remove the agitator. There is something called an agitator puller that is required. Note: Trying to remove the agitator without this tool can cause you to accidentally hit your face from the force of pulling.
