QuestionHi, I have owned the GE washer 2.2 Cu Ft. WCVH4800K for almost 8 years and the drum dropped.I have GE DCVH480EK. What is the reason for my dryer not being able to be stacked with the GE 2.4 cu ft. Washer? I’m afraid to buy same washer. Thank you

- Answer Hi Lyn- We are sorry to hear of this issue with your washer, as it is not something we would expect to hear. GFW148SSLWW is not designed as a match and the dryer will not properly fit on the washer. While we understand your concern, you should not expect issues with the new washer model WCVH4800KWW. QuestionIs there a matching gas dryer that goes with this washing machine? My laundry "closet" has a depth issue and I have not been able to find a matching set that is less than 28"deep. Thank You.

It is compatible with GE® 4.0 Cu.Ft. Stainless Steel Capacity 24" Ventless Condenser Frontload Electric Dryer GFT14ESSLWW. - Answer Hi Ron- Front-load washers have the hinge on the left side of the door and open to the left only. They do not have reversible doors because of the electronics involved with the door lock mechanism (Matching Dryer: GE® 4.0 Cu.Ft. QuestionGE engineers have developed a " talking laundry module. The module is designed to work with models of GE washers and dryers as long as they have a communication port on the back of the appliances." Do Models:GFW148SSLWW and GFT14ESSLWW have this port?

- Answer Hi Peter- Thanks for viewing GE! The Talking Laundry Module is not compatible with GFW148SSLWW and GFT14ESSLWW. The module is made by GE Appliances' FirstBuild and is designed to help visually-impaired users operate their washer and/or dryer independently. It is a small metal box that is connected to the port on GE Appliances washer and dryers. It communicates with the appliance and audibly announces the setting selected on the electronic dial and the estimated cycle time remaining. The accessory mounts externally to the washer and/or dryer. The Talking Laundry Module works with Connected GE Appliances washer and dryers. QuestionI understand that Model GFW148SSLWW cannot be stacked with DCVH480EKWW. But apart from stacking, is there any reason not to pair that washer with that dryer? I don't need them stacked. I do need them soon, and those are the models that are available now.
