Hi rpk8- The refrigerator has a single upfront temperature control in the fresh food section. For colder temperature, turn the knob clockwise toward Coldest. For warmer temperature, turn the dial counter-clockwise toward Cold. To turn off the cooling in both compartments, turn the knob counter-clockwise to the vertical off position. There is a control on the air tower in the freezer that controls how much cold air is in the freezer. The actual temperature control is only in the refrigerator compartment. Keep in touch! SUEatGEA
