The solution I found to this annoying layout is this spray and, if a scrub is needed to remove some of the heavier build up, a tool that most grocery or big box stores carry. My drip pan gets sprayed every few months now with no grunge to be seen. Picture attached. Spray also does wonders for cooktop downdraft build up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Needafridge- In models made since 1987, the drip pans are not easily accessible and cannot be removed. The defrost water will evaporate from the heat of the compressor and air flow from the fan so you should not expect odors from the drip pan. Also, you can easily clean the condenser by removing the rear grille.
