“What is the compressor size for this freezer, I think mine is going out. The high temp keeps going off, about 3 months ago we lost 50 lbs of meat and other items while out of town due to the high temp. Seals look good but the sides of the freezer are hot”

The compressors used in all of our refrigerators and freezers are sized according to the specific model. As a result, a BTU or horsepower rating is not available. Heaters are placed in the case to keep it warm enough not to "sweat" during humid days. This can cause the case to feel warm, even hot, and is considered normal. We encourage you to call Bodewell, our authorized service team directly at 1-833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET to have your freezer checked to ensure all is well based on the behavior of the High Temp alert.
