  • QuestionWhat are the running and surge watts on this GE refrigerator so that I can keep this thing running when the power goes out?

    Asked by FridgeNstorm.

    • Answer Hi FridgeNstorm- The refrigerator requires a 115 or 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Start-up amps and wattage are usually 3 times more than running amps or watts. The rating plate on the unit has this information.
