We comply with all state and federal chemical regulations, and we do not intentionally add potentially hazardous materials to our products. California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (also called Proposition 65) requires the Governor of California to publish a list of substances known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. It also requires businesses to warn potential customers of potential exposure to such substances. The law does not require a label on our products; however, we have chosen to include a safety notice in the owner's manual when applicable (not applicable for dishwashers). GeoSpring Hybrid Electric Water Heaters include the California Proposition 65 warning label on the unit and a warning statement in the owner's manual. A few of these substances are emitted at extremely low levels in normal use of some of our products, primarily self-cleaning cooking products and gas appliances.
