A:AnswerHi Connie - Thanks for considering our GE Portable Model GPT225SGLBB. This model features Condensate Dry which is an energy-efficient drying system on some dishwashers. With this drying system design, condensation will form on cooler surfaces in a warm humid environment. At the end of a cycle, while the dish load is still hot, the stainless steel tub walls are already cooling down and pulling condensation to form on the tub walls instead of the dishes. This provides natural air drying of the dish load. The use of a rinse agent, such as Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid, ensures spot and film protection for dishes and assists the drying process. For proper drying, the dishwasher door must be opened immediately after the Clean light comes on. Due to variables, we are not able to provide an exact dry time. Hot Start Option will preheat the water allowing dishes to be washed at any time. Water coming into the dishwasher may be as low as 95 degrees F and this feature will help raise the temperature to the required 120 degrees F. It actually heats the tub, spray arms, dishes, (prior to the main wash cycle) allowing proper cleaning without effecting the energy label. Once selected, approximately 1-1/2 gallons of water enters the tub, circulates in the tub for 5 minutes and then drains. This helps to purge cold water that may be in the line. Then another 1-1/2 gallons of water enters the tub and circulates for approximately 15 minutes and then drains. The heating element is on during this period of Auto HotStart heating up the water and the tub. After this option is run, the dishwasher will automatically go into the cycle that has been selected. A:AnswerHello Tcully. All portable dishwasher models have rubber or plastic hoses that connect to the sink. Portable fill and drain hoses will extend out 35" from the left rear top corner of the dishwasher as you face the dishwasher.
The power cord will extend 5 feet from the left rear top corner as you face the dishwasher.
Thanks for checking. Olga
A:AnswerHi DEBW - GE 24" Portable Dishwasher Model GPT225SSLSS comes with a faucet adapter and 2 washers (Thick/Thin). We suggest viewing the Installation Instructions at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-4000205.pdf - If the faucet adapter threads do not match your faucet spout, your local hardware or plumbing supply store
normally has additional fittings to adapt your faucet to the special faucet adapter. Thanks for choosing GE. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
A:AnswerHi Kee - Thanks for your interest in GE Model # GPT225SGLWW! This model has a gray, decorative laminate wood top. It is a durable laminate surface that is less maintenance than wood. This top is not susceptible to water damage and possible separation of the veneer from the wood top. It is not designed to handle hot pots right off the burner or abrasive cleaners. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com for all your appliance needs! Sue
A:AnswerHi Linda - Thanks for choosing GE Model GPT225SGLWW! The unicouple hoses and faucet adapter are included. Dishwasher unicouple hoses are 32" from back of unit to the unicouple connection. The hose comes out of the back near the back left corner. The power cord will extend 5 feet from the left rear top corner as you face the dishwasher. Remove the existing strainer or aerator and screw on the aerator adapter. It fits most standard faucet spouts. An Aerator Faucet Adapter adapts your kitchen faucet to accept the dishwasher hose connection and reduces splashing in the sink when dishwasher is not hooked-up. The Unicouple slips onto the aerator adapter and locks into place to supply hot water to the dishwasher through the top hose. Used water drains through the lower hose and out the bottom of the unicouple into the sink. The Unicouple faucet adapter provides simple, quick connect and disconnect of hot water to the dishwasher. A pressure-release valve lets you disconnect hose from faucet without splashing. We suggest viewing the Installation Guide at the following link: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-4000205.pdf - If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask, we are happy to help at GEAppliances.com! A:AnswerI saw on social media where you can hang a kitchen towel on off the top rack (after it stops) and close the door, the towel will absorb a lot of the moisture. I tried it and it actually does absorb a lot of the water. But not all. I still don’t understand why this dishwasher doesn’t dry the dishes.
A:AnswerHello Ksher - Thank you for the excellent question. We are happy to help. Model GPT225SSLSS can not be converted to a built-in unit. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you have any more questions. - JB
A:AnswerHey there, and thanks for taking the time to reach out. For our portable dishwashers, the fill and drain hoses will be 35” long; for this type of model there are no longer hoses available. We regret any inconvenience that may cause, and will consider your interest in longer hose options for future development. We’re always happy to assist if you have any other questions or concerns, and wish you all the best! -Sarah@GEA
A:AnswerHi bbobb - Thanks for considering GE® 24" Portable Dishwasher GPT225SSLSS! The dishwasher is equipped with a unicouple hose to connect to a faucet (hot water). A:AnswerI do not see using the dishwasher without wheels as a viable use. You have got to move it around as the door is in the front and the hook ups are in the back and the thing is too heavy to drag around on the floor without damaging things.
A:AnswerHello- Thanks so much for checking with us. We are happy to help! The faucet adapter is designed to fit standard spouts having internal or external threads. The adapter included does not work with a 13/16" aerator. The adapter included works with a 15/16" male thread or 55/64" female thread, standard spout aerator. We hope this is helpful! If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. We are here to help! Joyce@GEA

A:AnswerNumber one - delivery should take out of box , SET UP on casterwheels . Curtesey customer service also SHOULD show/explain connections , - not nessesarely demonstration - but such I would consider CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Importent ( I learned as no Model / Sample is in store and sales staff pretty unknowing .
I encountered all this and can tell you overall it is symble - but customer service (free) delivery insufficent and smacks of selling additional cost .

A:AnswerTo start the dishwasher, press the Start pad and close the door within 4 seconds to start the cycle or begin the Delay Start countdown. The Start light will turn on. We recommend referring to pages 5-6 of the owner's manual for further guidance. Here is the link:

A:AnswerThe dishwasher will lock and start once you've selected the cycle and completely pushed the door closed. Please make sure you haven't inadvertently selected the Delay Start. Please review pages 5-6 in your manual. If you still have issues with no power, please make sure your breaker hasn't tripped and check to see if you may have a switch on your wall that powers the dishwasher. If needed, please take advantage of your warranty and reach out to Bodewell Service by calling 1-833-426-3393 between 8:00-8:00 EST. Joyce@GEAppliances
