- Answer Assuming you are replacing an existing DW, the only thing you're going to probably need is an adapter with a 3/8" compression inlet and a 3/4" Female Garden Hose (threaded), Sounds goofy. And it is. But almost every hardware carries it nowdays and it costs like $5. It does make the DW easier to hook up. Older DWs were serviced by 3/8" compression ended water lines (doesn't matter what the water line was-copper, braided steel, CPVC), and this fitting mates to the "old" plumbing and then mates to the DW with basically a female garden hose end. If you're doing a "new" install or removing all the old stuff back to the appliance shutoff valve, there's a great kit made by Proline Plumbing or by Watts at the big box stores for $20. They include about 10' of new steel-braided supply hose, the 3/8"x3/4" FGHT adapter, and 1/2"x3/8" adapter for goofy pipe ends (not on the DW side).

QuestionFor the Top Controls, does the door need to be closed to set up the wash cycle? (I know it will need to be closed to start a wash) The way it will fit under the counter, I will not have easy access to the wash settings. Need to know before I purchase! TY

- Answer Because sometimes you need filler strips and sometimes you don't. And then what size you need when you need them is another question. The trim section at the big box hardware store has them in all kinds of widths and thicknesses. If you're installer doesn't have them...he should.

QuestionIs there anything removable (i.e. legs) that would make this any shorter than it is? trying to fit under a counter height of 33 3/8" which is the exact height of the dishwasher.

- Answer Depends on how clean your hands are. If you don't wash your hands after eating Cheez-Whiz with Fritos and then skinning rabbits, there's nothing fingerprintless in the world. But I installed the DW myself and didn't leave any fingerprints, but I wash my hands frequently.

QuestionThe specifications say the power cord is not included. How do you plug it in? Does that have to be purchased separately?

- Answer 99% of dishwashers are wired DIRECTLY into the house wiring, so no cord is required. There's a bit of house wiring sticking out from the wall that wires into the DW on the lower right front I deliberately changed mine over to a receptacle so I needed a cord, which I had already.

This dishwasher features Active Flood Protect, preventing potential overflows for greater peace of mind. A water sensor cancels the wash cycle before a flood can occur and alerts you with blinking lights and a tone. This model also have a great 3rd rack that doesn't have dedicated compartments.
