Do not have a camper, my ac is working good in the house

You may want to check the rating plate information to make sure the generator you’re using has enough power to cover the unit, including the extra ‘surge power’ the air conditioner will use when the compressor cycles on. We suggest checking an article on our GE Appliances website titled 'Running an Appliance on a Generator'; you can find that by going to our website, searching for the title and clicking the Support tab in the search results. Please note we also don’t recommend using an extension cord with our air conditioner, for safety reasons and to avoid risk of fire. We have a warning regarding the use of extension cords in the Use and Care manual on page 4, if you’d like to view that. We hope this information is helpful.
