“I bought this AC no more than 2 months ago. Today I noticed there is a red light blinking above the power button (below the filter button). I pulled out the filter. It wasn't very dirty. The light is still blinking. How do I fix this?”

Hi Christen - Thanks for choosing GE! This feature automatically notifies you that the air filter must be cleaned. The indicator light will come on after 240 hours of operation. Press "Filter" on the control panel to reset. The light will go off. Press and hold the filter button until the light goes off in order to reset the filter timer.

From what I read online, if the filter isn’t really dirty, the red blinking light could have been caused by a power surge, and that you can reset the electrical power supply by unplugging the unit and then plugging it back in.
