Hi - Thanks for considering GE! The air conditioning process is basically moving warm humid air outside so the hoses are designed primarily to move heat and humidity from a room. These units are sold with a 5' exhaust vent hose with a 5” inch diameter. Operating the unit without an exhaust vent will not allow heat and humidity to be removed from the room. The unit will not function properly without an exhaust vent. Additionally the unit must be vented outdoors, not into an attic or other indoor space. We so not offer a model without an exhaust vent. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You do have to vent this out the window but it is quite easy to do. It will work with almost any size or type of window. I don't know of any portable air conditioners that don't require venting.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You must use the vent out the window or your space will remain warm. The cool air is not strong enough to counter the heat from the vent. Can’t speak on other models. Hopefully a representative will see your question and answer that for you.
