“I just purchased this unit and I am trying to install the vent, through a window. My window is 25" wide. Do I need to cut down the side panel to fit?”

I just saw this after I wrote my review today (10/1/20). GE's answer is not helpful. The specs say it will fit 20" to 46", with the glaring omission that it won't fit 20-30" without using a saw! I hope they send me the saw I need. They really need to update their specs.

you can adjust the panel.. should be able to fit 25"

Hello and thank you for reaching out about this awesome air conditioner. For a 25" window, only one extension panel is needed. If the panel is blocks the exhaust hole when it is installed on either side of the main panel, it may need to be trimmed with a saw. Keep in touch! - JB
