Cut it carefully, it’s plastic so you can use a very sharp tool like an exact or even cutting pliers .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just want to comment that "GE Answers" solution to this problem was to take a saw and cut the plastic piece to fit the windows. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I had this same problem that the original poster did. My solution is now to take the AC back and buy a different brand.
