Hello Shelly. Thank you for your recent purchase of this lovely refrigerator. The temperature will not remain displayed on the control panel. It will display for a short period of time, approximately 10 seconds, while you are setting either section for temperature you would like. The display then goes blank after you have selected the temperature you wish. Stay well and enjoy your new refrigerator. Geoff@GEA
