“Do I have to get 2 ice makers with this fridge, don't really need the one inside the unit”

Hello Jeffy, The lower icemaker can be turned off if it is not needed. This model is not available without dual icemaker. Also, check out model GFE26GMHES.This model only has one icemaker.. Thanks for checking with us! Lisa from GE Appliances.
