Q: QuestionHow to remove the handles from the doors? There are no screws visible.
Asked by lori.
- A:Answer Hello, and thanks for reaching out to us about this. We hate to hear you've had some trouble with removing the handles and know that may have been an inconvenience. The handle has small screws near the top; these set screws can be loosened with an 1/8” Allen wrench. As this model is a door in door, you should latch the inner door to the outer before removing the handle. Once the screws have been removed you simply need to remove the handle from the mounting fastener. Further details are available in the installation instructions, if needed. We are also happy to help with any other questions or concerns you may have. Best wishes! -Sarah@GEA

Q: QuestionHi I just got my ge profile French door fridge today and was wondering if the temperature of the fridge and freezer are supposed to stay lit on the display panel?
Asked by Shelly.
- A:Answer Hello Shelly. Thank you for your recent purchase of this lovely refrigerator. The temperature will not remain displayed on the control panel. It will display for a short period of time, approximately 10 seconds, while you are setting either section for temperature you would like. The display then goes blank after you have selected the temperature you wish. Stay well and enjoy your new refrigerator. Geoff@GEA

Q: QuestionIs this ice maker/ water compatible with a reverse osmosis system? It says you will need 40 psi to be successful.
Asked by ROHP.

Q: QuestionIs the water dispensed chilled?
Asked by Kimbow.
This question was asked about the related product: GE - 27.8 Cu. Ft. Door in Door French Door Refrigerator with Water and Ice Dispenser - Black Stainless Steel
- A:Answer Hi Kimbow - Thanks for viewing GE Model GFD28GBLTS! Bottom freezer and french door refrigerators have a water reservoir coil in the fresh food section that holds 12 - 24 oz. of water. The water is chilled and stored until it is needed. Since the reservoir is in the fresh food section, the water will not be ice-cold. After the 12 - 24 oz. of cold water is dispensed, any additional water dispensed will not be chilled until the water in the coil tubing has had time to chill again. We'd love to have you in the family. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
