This style of convection has a fan to circulate air in the oven cavity and a heating element around the fan. The heating element provides an additional heat source, allowing further performance improvements particularly for multi-rack baking. The fan only spins in one direction. We hope this helps. A:AnswerYes it does. Only works in top oven. The few times we have used it thought we have found it to be inaccurate. It registered done but a quick meat probe after pulling from the oven showed it to be off by about 10 degrees.
