“Can you see your food inside the oven, is there a light that you can turn on from the outside or does the light only come on when you open the oven?”

Hi CJC- Yes, you can turn on the oven light to view your food cooking without opening the door. The "Oven Light" switch (touch pad) is located on the control panel. Thanks for considering GE. Keep in touch! SUEatGEA

There is an oven light that you can turn on with a button. This does allow you to see the food. But if you need to check browning (cookies, etc), you may still need to open the door.

Yes there is a light you can turn on from the outside. The only 2 things I don't like about my new oven are 1. It seems to take a long time to heat up compared to my old oven and 2. The shelves are hard to get in and out. But we bought this at a Best Buy outlet and saved hundreds. If you have an outlet near you go there. Good luck!

Yes, I can touch a button and the light comes on, or open the door and it turns the light on.
