A:AnswerWhile that length of time for a wash cycle is uncommon, it's not unheard of. The reason your wash duration is so long is because you have a new machine. You see all major appliances, no matter the brand are designed to be as energy efficient as possible. This includes laundry machines. It would be counterproductive to substantially decrease the power of a washer enough for it to conform with efficacy regulations. Therefore it instead uses much less water to conserve energy. Less water = longer wash duration.
A:AnswerGet a Speed Queen GEWashers are terrible !!!!!! My new GE stretched and ripped my clothes they replaced gear box but it didn't help. It's the worst washer i ever had. It was so noisy you could hear it through the whole house. Maytag commercial is also good.

A:AnswerHello cat - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. If you hear a sloshing sound when you move the inner tub in a newer GE washer, that is the balance ring. This is an enclosed plastic container partially filled with a salt water solution, it is attached to the inner clothes basket, and allows the basket to spin smoothly should an out of balance situation occur. This is a normal sound. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
