Q: QuestionI live in a small trailer I wanted a to install a range hood the filters it comes with so Do I need to cut a hole in the trailer for it to vent or can I just install the charcoal filters

• A:Answer Greetings, Thank you so much for reaching out. This vent hood can be vented externally (ducting required) or internally (recirculating). • A:Answer This model is intended to be wired directly into the house wiring. The house wiring enters through the back or top of the hood and connects to the hood inside the junction box. Instructions for the electrical details can be found on the Best Buy website under the Features tab. Scroll down to the Installation Guide. See page 3 under Power Supply and page 9 under Electrical Connection.

• A:Answer We always recommend disconnecting the power by flipping off the breaker and turning off the light switch. You'll remove the light cover, unscrew the light, counterclockwise to unlock the light and pull out. Replace the new light of the same type (standard incandescent), making sure the socket is properly inserted into the housing of the lamp holder. Please review page 8 in the manual for more details. You can find the manual on Best Buys site and on our GE Appliances site.

• A:Answer There is some airflow through both filters, it’s just not precisely equal. This stye vent hood that uses a single centrifugal blower are offset to one side, and it is an industry standard practice to get better overall airflow. -Vikki@GEAppliances

• A:Answer While not completely equal, when operating normally, there will be airflow through both sides. We recommend checking that the ductwork is free of obstructions, the damper swings freely, and the filters are clean. You can find filter cleaning instructions on page 7 and installation information starting on page 9 of the manual. The manual is located at the bottom of the 'Features' tab on the Best Buy product page. We also recommend performing the tissue test to check for proper draw of the vent. You can find instructions for this in the article titled "Hood Vent System Draw" on the GE Appliances website.

• A:Answer This model has a centrifugal or dual blower type (often referred to as squirrel cage fan). It will drawer equally on both sides. The CFM rating at MEDIUM fan speed is 250 CFMs. Here's a list of the CFM and sones: 350/6.6 (Boost Speed) 340/5.1 (High Speed) 150/1.0 (Working Speed) Note: The High fan option does not turn off the same way as Low and Med. If you hold High for 2 seconds, it will activate BOOST whereas if you hold Low or Med or 2 seconds it will activate the auto shut off. Joyce@GEAppliances
