• A:Answer Model JGP3036SLSS is not compatible with a griddle. We do have other gas cooktops, such as PGP7030SLSS, that are compatible with an optional griddle.

Q: QuestionCan you please tell me where the gas valve & power cord is located on this model. Back left or back right? I don't see the info anywhere in the specs. I'm replacing one with the valve and cord on the right side just in front of the back corner.

• A:Answer The gas supply is on the back right side of the cooktop. Additionally, the power supply cord is 3 feet long so it will easily reach this area. This can be found on page 2 of the Installation Guide on our GE Appliances website.

• A:Answer Frankly, I can’t answer. I have been scheduled for delivery four times. The delivery didn’t happen and Best Buy did not call to inform me so I wasted four days waiting on a delivery that never happened. Needless to say I am totally frustrated at this point. Four days of my life wasted.

• A:Answer It seems to be a baked-on enamel on steel. You'd have to read the specs the company supplies. My last cooktop was a GE Profile and I loved it. This is the modern version of that cooktop.

Q: QuestionI have the JGP5036 cooktop. Is there a way to just wipe off the grates to clean them without putting them in the dishwasher? I've tried various sponges/cloths, but because the grates are so rough it just shreds what I have tried to use.

• A:Answer Thanks for reaching out about this! If you would like to manually clean your grates, they should be washed in hot, soapy water and rinsed with clean water. To soften burned-on food, place grates in a solution containing ¼-cup of household ammonia for several hours. Afterward, scrub grates with a plastic scouring pad soaked in hot, soapy water. Rinse well and dry. We certainly know how tearing up your clothes would be annoying and hope this helps! -Chris@GEA
