Hi Lee - This unit has a 0.47 cu. ft. freezer capacity for storing small frozen convenience items when in contact with the evaporator (cold surface in compartment.) It is not a true 0 degree freezer. This compartment does not have a separate temperature control. Keep in touch! Sue
